International Migration, Remittances and the Brain Drain

On October 24, 2005, the Research Program published its first major work on migration, a book entitled International Migration, Remittances and the Brain Drain. This volume contains four country case studies on the impact of remittances on poverty and expenditure patterns, and four chapters on the brain drain, including the largest existing data base on the brain drain, and analyses of the brain gain, brain waste, and the impact on productivity in destination countries. The book was co-edited by Maurice Schiff and Caglar Ozden.
